In Portugal, fado has no age, it is not of any generation but of all, because it reincarnates and regenerates constantly. Katia Guerreiro conquered all hearts with her voice, her fidelity to the intimate but passionate spirit of fado, also by her personality, her freedom and the beautiful imagination that presides over her choices of poets, composers and arrangers.
A technique without flaw but a chord, on a thread, at the edge of the precipice, an intimate drama that refers to the universal, bursts of soul that make hearts and bodies capsize.
As part of the presentation of her new album Mistura (released in October 2022), Katia Guerreiro returns to the stage in a show based on a retrospective of her career representing Portuguese music, poetry and soul.
With ten albums released, hundreds of concerts in the most prestigious venues and national and international festivals on several continents, Katia Guerreiro – who for a few years combined the practice of medicine with fado – has already received decorations in Portugal and France, being recognized as one of the most outstanding representatives of Portuguese culture in the world and one of the brightest singers of her generation. The awards and awards she has received throughout her career are in recognition of her invaluable contribution to the dissemination of Portuguese culture and the projection of Portugal into the world.
