In Spirit is a creation influenced by Don Pullen. A pianist and rhythm player of explosive energy, he is known for his unbridled flights of fancy, and has developed a unique style combining the traditions of jazz, free jazz, African oral music and classical music.
In this groovy trio, pianist Betty Hovette engages in an organic corps à corps with her instrument.
