When you consider that Nils Frahm spends an average of over four hours fine-tuning his sound settings before each concert, it's impossible to think of him simply as a pianist who integrates electronic parts into his compositions. A true alchemist of sound, the Berlin musician has never been a fan of collage. Totally devoted to his art, Nils Frahm performs demanding frescoes of sound in which all hierarchies of styles, musical registers and instrument types are radically challenged in a total and immediate relationship.
