Requesting authorisation for use of public space when making a delivery

Depending on the type of occupation, a special delivery requires an authorisation for increased use of public space issued by the City of Geneva.

Signage directives must be requested from the Canton or the Planning, Civil Engineering and Mobility Service.

The authorisation issued by the City of Geneva concerns use of public space for the purposes of installing or storing any element linked to temporary occupation in a predefined zone: light commercial vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, lifting gear, etc.

Who is this procedure intended for?

This procedure is intended for any natural or legal person wishing to use public space to make a special delivery.

When must I submit my request?

The request must be submitted at least 15 working days before the beginning of the activity.
All sections of the form must be completed. In particular, the contact details of all persons concerned must be indicated, be they private individuals or professionals. If these are one and the same person, the contact details must nevertheless be indicated in each section.
