Geneva is home to four cemeteries managed by the municipal administration. These peaceful locations encouraging contemplation are also open to the public. They are part of Geneva’s historical and natural heritage.
Located at the heart of the city, the four municipal cemeteries in Geneva are places of meditation while also offering the general public a place to enjoy a quiet walk.
Like the so-called cemetery “des Rois” (of kings) in Plainpalais, also referred to as the “Geneva pantheon”, they bear witness to the city’s past.
