Arcadi Volodos piano

Arcadi Volodos concerts are rare and exceptional moments. In December 2021, in Geneva, the pianist had left “a delirious room, standing up to proclaim his cheers”. So here he is back for our greatest pleasure.
For more than 20 years, Arcadi Volodos has amazed the public during its concerts. Master of an extraordinary and flawless technique, which he puts entirely at the service of interpretation, Arcadi creates universes specific to each composer, to each work. His performances are the result of long reflections on the proposed works, nourished by continual feedback that avoids any routine, deja vu, always resulting in a surprise. He seeks, in his own words “to ignite the heart of the public, to take it with the music on unsuspected possibilities of ascent”.
Born in Saint-Petersburg in 1972, Arcadi Volodos began his studies in singing and conducting. He did not seriously study the piano until 1987, at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, then at the Moscow Conservatory with Galina Egiazarova and in Paris and Madrid with Dmitri Bashkirov. His famous concert at Carnegie Hall in 1996 established him as the great pianist of his generation.
The Musika Association is pleased to present again the wonderful pianist Arcadi Volodos and the unforgettable moments he offers us.
