Electron celebrates its entry into its third decade with a journey back in time to the origins of Detroit electronic music!

From April 18th to May 12th, we invite you to four must-attend events: a photo exhibition, a Late Night event in collaboration with the Grand Théâtre de Genève, an exploration of Geneva's underground scene, and a conference/workshop hub.

EXHIBITION | Electronic Landscapes : Music, Space & Resistance in Detroit

Opening night on April 18th 2024 at 6:30pm & Dj set w/ John Collins

At the heart of this first installment lies Electron festival's annual exhibition, shedding light on the music scene of Detroit. Two remarkable New York photographers, Isaac Diggs and Edward Hillel, have captured the essence of this scene in a series of retrospective shots. Featuring iconic figures such as Mad "Mike" Banks, Theo Parrish, Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale, Rick Wilhite, and Amp Fiddler, this exhibition delves into both the music and its social and political context. A selection of these photos will be showcased in two new venues in Geneva, offering an immersion into the history of electronic music.

TALKS | Conference and DJ workshop (EN)

Electron invites its audience to come and meet, in a more intimate setting at Galerie Polomarco, artists who have contributed to shaping the culture of electronic music. On Friday, May 19th, photographers Edward Hillel and Isaac Diggs will give a conference on the project behind their book that inspired the exhibition, alongside John Collins.

On Thursday, May 9th, it's Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale who will come and share her experience as a pioneering DJ-producer from Detroit. She will share a piece of her story as a true enthusiast of equipment, music, and Detroit, in a special workshop event.
