Hiring a community hall

This procedure allows private individuals or companies to hire one of the City of Geneva’s community halls in order to organise festive or corporate events.

The City of Geneva’s community halls are located in the city centre. The different characteristics, sizes and infrastructures offer the means of organising all types of event, from gala dinners through dance evenings to political debates.

What are the rates and conditions?

The rental conditions are defined by the regulation relating to hiring community halls in the City of Geneva (available for download below).

How to complete the procedure? 

You can download the community hall rental application form below, print it out, complete it and return it to the municipal property management office.

You can also obtain the form from the reception of our office.

The office is open from Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Which documents should be enclosed? 

Your duly completed application should be accompanied by the following documents:

For private individuals:

  • identity card or valid permit for foreign citizens;
  • proof of residency.

For associations:

  • identity card of the applicant (or valid permit for foreign citizens);
  • last activity report;
  • balance sheet for the last financial year;
  • signed copy of the up-to-date articles of association.
  • last minutes.

For traders:

  • identity card of the applicant (or valid permit for foreign citizens);
  • excerpt from the commercial register.

How will your application be processed? 

After your duly completed application has been received and examined, you will be notified of the decision by letter.
