Back to school: increased numbers and health measures
A total of 12,430 children returned to school in the City of Geneva this morning, some 300 more than last year. No fewer than 6,850 pupils are expected to eat lunch in the different school canteens at midday, a total of 400 more than when children returned to school last year. This significant increase in school and extracurricular numbers places a strain on the facilities provided by the City. In the singular health context currently facing us, ensuring a smooth return to school and providing high-quality services are major challenges.
